To All the Boys I've Loved Before To All the Boys I've Loved Before

Author: Jenny Han
Publisher: Simon and Schuster
Release Date: April 22, 2014

Synopsis from Goodreads:

Lara Jean’s love life goes from imaginary to out of control in this heartfelt novel from the New York Times bestselling author of The Summer I Turned Pretty series. What if all the crushes you ever had found out how you felt about them…all at once?

Lara Jean Song keeps her love letters in a hatbox her mother gave her. They aren’t love letters that anyone else wrote for her; these are ones she’s written. One for every boy she’s ever loved—five in all. When she writes, she pours out her heart and soul and says all the things she would never say in real life, because her letters are for her eyes only. Until the day her secret letters are mailed, and suddenly, Lara Jean’s love life goes from imaginary to out of control.

Why I'm Excited:

When I was in high school I was always writing letters to crushes and kept an extensive journal. The thought of any of that writing seeing the light of day would have made me die a thousand humiliating deaths, so I can just imagine. I have to be honest that I didn't love Jenny Han's Summer series. The first two books were alright, but I hated the last book (you can see my ranting review here). I loved Burn for Burn and Fire With Fire though and I think this one looks very charming.

  1. Sounds interesting! Although I keep hearing Willie Nelson and Julio Eglesias singing "To All the Girls I've Loved Before"....lol. Okay, probably just showed my age there. Anyway, I'll have to check this book out when I get the chance! Thanks for sharing such a great WoW Pick!

  10. Ditto to the comment above - maybe it's an age thing, but every time I see this title I automatically start singing that darn song! Substitute 'girls' for 'boys' and call me a dork. :)
I have never read one of Jenny Han's books. I hope you enjoy reading this!

  18. For some reason I thought this was a memoir rather than a novel and I wasn't really interested but now that I've actually read the description I think it sounds good! I also didn't care for the Summer series so I hadn't given Burn for Burn or Fire with Fire a chance, but maybe now I should!

  19. I'm waiting on this too! I adore the cover :) And I kept a journal on and off during my younger/teen years :)

  20. I'm really excited for this book too! I nearly forgot about it. I never really wrote letters to my crushes (well, KIND OF, but not really), but I think I'd be pretty terrified if all my deep dark secrets/feelings got out like that. Oh my.

  21. My opinion is basically the same! Wasn't a fan of the Summer series but LOVED Burn For Burn and Fire With Fire. I just kind of love the idea behind this one.

  22. SO in love with this cover. The story sounds great---the situation she finds herself in sounds mortifying! I can't wait to see how it's handled. Great pick, Natalie!

  23. Oh, this sounds like a very sweet high school story.... The plot makes me feel rather wistful, since I didn't even know any boys when I went to high school. I went to an all-girl school!!! So, no dating for me back then! AARRGGGHHH!!

This novel shows high school the way I wish it could have been for me....

Thanks for sharing, and thanks as well for dropping by and commenting on my WOW!! : )
