Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Tyngas Reviews. This meme allows us to share the books we've recently added to our shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! *Clicking the link of a book's title will take you to Goodreads.
This was a bit of a slow week for me. I'm not complaining since I have sooooooo many ARCs and library books (not to mention my physical books overflowing on my shelves) from past weeks that I still need to get through. I've been going through a major slump lately. I've must have started, no exaggeration, 15 books these last couple of weeks, but just haven't been able to get into any of them. I hate slumping. I have so many pretty books on my shelves (although having so many to chose is at least half the problem). Anyway, I'm excited to see everyone's epic BEA hauls.
E-Book ARCs
One Tiny Lie by K.A. Tucker
Even though I haven't read Ten Tiny Breaths, I just couldn't resist this gorgeous cover.
Stoker's Manuscript by Royce Prouty
A man is hired by a descendant of Vlad Dracul only to find himself imprisoned as he finds clues in an original draft of the famous book.
Anonymous Sources by Mary Louise Kelly
A reporter is assigned to cover the death of the son of one of Washington's most powerful men. Written by a long-time NPR/BBC reporter.
The Widow Waltz by Sally Koslow
I'm such a sucker for beach covers. I'm honestly not sure why I requested this one as I can't usually make it through books in which a husband has died.
What I snagged from the library
The Originals by Cat Patrick
Triplets who find out they are actually clones? Yes, please.
Jenna & Jonah's Fauxmance by Emily Franklin and Brendan Halpin
I've been listening to this on Playaway. It's a cute book about two tv stars that are faking a romance to keep their show on the air.
Secret Society Girl by Diana Peterfreund
I don't know why I'm so obsessed with secret societies. I just am. I don't know why I haven't read this already.
The Selection by Kiera Cass
I'm kind of torn about this book, but I've always loved that cover and after a reading a couple of recent very positive reviews I decided to check it out. My TBR pile is ridiculously out-of-control and this book isn't that high on my list.

ReplyDeleteLooks like a bunch of great books! I absolutely loved Secret Society Girl and the entire series. I need to go back and re-read it. Enjoy your books :)
ReplyDeleteI loved Secret Society Girl and the second book too but I stopped reading them after that. Great haul, hopefully something there will pull you out of your slump. If not, why not reread an old favourite? I love doing that.

Great haul! Enjoy and thanks for stopping by my blog.
ReplyDeleteI've been on the fence about The Selection. I think that maybe, if I go into it expecting the worst, I might be pleasantly surprised. Mostly, I read that the series is unputdownable, though there's not much to like about it. Maybe I'll wait and see what you think about it. It's not very high on my priority list either. :) Great haul...it was hard not to pick up One Tiny Lie, but I was strong. For now. I still haven't read the first book. :P
ReplyDeleteThe Selection is amazing! Ooh, I really want to read The Originals, it sounds really good!
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy them all :)
