Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Tyngas Reviews. This meme allows us to share the books we've recently added to our shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! *Clicking the link of a book's title will take you to Goodreads.
So I'm feeling like I hit the jackpot this week. I'm so excited to read all 8 of these. In fact you may not hear from me for awhile because I have some serious reading to do.
E-Book ARCs
The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater
I really like The Raven Boys and can't wait to find out what happens next.
The Burning Sky by Sherry Thomas
I don't read a lot of fantasy, but this book about an elemental mage (whatever that is) sounds awesome.
Frozen by Melissa de la Cruz and Michael Johnston
About life in future Las Vegas where a new kind of magic is born. I love how the O is a dragon on the cover.
Dead Girls Don't Lie by Jennifer Shaw Wolf
A girl investigates her ex-best friend's murder. Those who know me know I cannot resist YA mystery.
Once We Were by Kat Zhang
The sequel to What's Left of Me (which I'm reading right now).
What I snagged from the library
Crown of Midnight by Sarah J Maas
I'm reading Throne of Glass and am hoping to finish it this weekend so I can dive into this one.
Cinder by Melissa Meyer
I've been listening to this on audio. I'm probably about 1/2 way through and am really enjoying it so far.
The Spectacular Now by Tim Tharp
The movie rendition has been getting marvelous reviews. I can't wait to find out what all the fuss is about.
So that's it for me this week. I'm pretty excited about what I added to my shelves this week.

I will be picking up The Dream Thieves as soon as it comes out. If you read it before then you will have to let me know how it is. Cinder is another one that has been on my TBR list for a while. Enjoy!!

So many good books in your pile this week. The Dream Thieves is on my looking-forward-to-reading pile but there's a few in front of it right now. Story of my life. Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy everything this week!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a great week. I have pre-ordered The Burning Sky and Frozen. I can't wait to read The Dream Thieves and Once We Were. Crown of Midnight is such a great sequel. And I saw the movie (The Spectacular Now) but I still haven't read the book (I'm usually pretty good about seeing the movie first but it just didn't work out this time). Have fun reading! ~Pam
ReplyDeleteWhat did you think of the movie?
DeleteCinder is amazing! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I'm really excited to try The Burning Sky too since I love Sherry Thomas's historical romances. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteYou have The Burning Sky? I can't wait to read that one. It's one of my top books I'm looking forward to. Enjoy that one and all the rest! I especially hope you continue to like Cinder. That one is really good.

Cinder is so good. I recommend you get Scarlet as soon as possible - somehow the sequel is event better. And enjoy Crown of Midnight when you get to it.
ReplyDeleteI hope the teaching is going well!
Here's my round-up of the week.
Sarah
Oooh, awesome haul! Dead Girls Don't Lie looks & sounds awesome! I still need to check out The Raven Boys and What's Left of Me. Cinder is good, but Scarlet is even better (in my opinion haha)! Hope you're enjoying all your books!
ReplyDeleteBookmunchies' Sunday Post & STS (:
Great haul! I have Cinder sitting on my shelf to read. Thanks for stopping by my STS too!
ReplyDeleteOh, WOW. You sure got some TERRIFIC books!! I want THE DREAM THIEVES, THE BURNING SKY, and CROWN OF MIDNIGHT!!!! But I need to have my books in printed editions, not e-books. I'm an obsessed bibliophile!!
ReplyDeleteThe three books I've mentioned are already in my TBR pile, as well as Amazon wish list. CONGRATS on getting them!! I already own CINDER, but do have to read it! Lol.
Thanks for sharing your haul!! Happy reading!! : )
Oh my gosh, you got Dead Girls Don't Lie, I've been pining for that book for months! I've also heard some great things about Frozen and Cinder. Awesome haul! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading! :D

All of these are or sound great, but I'm really excited for you to read The Spectacular Now, especially after reading your review for Perks. I listened to the audio of this book, and MacLeod Andrews is perfection as the narrator. I LOVED this book and can't wait to see the movie!
ReplyDeleteYay, you got DEAD GIRLS DON'T LIE! I haven't started reading my copy yet but I just read a raving review of it so I'm super excited! I hope you end up liking FROZEN. I have literally not seen a single good review of it :/ Apparently it's confusing, has way too many mythical creatures, and has some inconsistencies. Curious to see what you think of it when you get to it!
