Today's topic is: The books that are topping my Fall TBR
There is nothing I like more than searching Goodreads and other such sites for upcoming releases. I probably spend more time looking at books than I do reading them (that is a sad but true statement). There are a bunch of books coming out in Oct, Nov, and Dec (the months I'm limiting myself to) that I can not wait to get my hands on.
Across a Star-Swept Sea by Diana Peterfreund
Release date: Oct 15
A socialite is actually a spy in the companion to For Darkness Shows the Stars. That cover!
Perfect Ruin by Lauren Destefano
Release date: Oct 1
This book is about a floating island in the clouds! What else do you need to know?
Premeditated by Josin McQuein
Release date: Oct 8
This book is about a girl who wants to avenge her cousin after she commits suicide.
Allegiant by Veronica Roth
Release date: Oct 22
I think it's safe to say that most of my friends are waiting for this conclusion to the Divergent triology.
Tandem by Anna Jarzab
Release date: Oct 8
I've been excited for this multiverse novel with this stunning cover for months.
Mad About the Boy by Helen Fielding
Release date: Oct 15
Bridget Jones!
Man Made Boy by Jon Skovron
Release date: Oct 3
The son of Frankenstein and his bride.
Cold Spell by Jackson Pearce
Release date: Nov 5
A fairy tale re-telling of The Snow Queen.
The Naturals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Release date: Nov 5
The FBI starts using "talented" teens for cold cases.
This Wicked Game by Michelle Zink
Release date: Nov 14
A girl whose family has been in the voodoo business for 50 years.
These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman
Release date: Dec 10
A spaceship crashes on a nearby planet. I've been lusting after this cover for months.
Ink is Thicker Than Water by Amy Spalding
Release date: Dec 3
I absolutely adored Amy's debut, The Reece Malcolm List, and cannot wait for this one.
The Promise of Amazing by Robin Constantine
Release date: Dec 31
There is really nothing I like more than a good YA romance. This looks adorable.
Roomies by Sarah Zarr
Release date: Dec 24
An epistolary novel of two college roommates sending emails the summer before their freshmen year.
I tried to keep it as close to 10 as possible, but 14 isn't bad for 3 months worth of gorgeous new releases. What's topping your Fall 2013 TBR? Link me up!

Yeah, there's no way I could limit my list to ten. :) Sooo many good books coming out this fall...I probably have ten from October alone. I know I had more than that for September. Reading is taking over my life! But I'm okay with that. :P Great picks...I'm especially excited for Across a Star-Swept Sea, Perfect Ruin, Premeditated, Allegiant & The Promise of Amazing.
ReplyDeleteRuin and Allegiant are both books I want to read as well.

I've got some of these on my list, too, and I want to read THE WICKED GAME if only because that cover is preeetty.

I can't wait for Allegiant either! And These Broken Stars sounds so good. Tandem was excellent, one of the best parallel worlds books I've read. Great list! ~Pam
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait to read so many of these books as well! I'm desperate to get my hands on Perfect Ruin and Allegiant. And These Broken Stars looks like such a good book, so no doubt I'll end up picking up a copy of that one as well!
ReplyDeleteMy Top Ten
I'm excited to read Premeditated as well! It has pretty much everything I love about YA in one story. It sounds quite intense and I'm really hoping it's done well! I'm also excited to read The Promise of Amazing and Roomies. Basically anything contemporary :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info on The "For Darkness Shows the Stars" companion - I didn't know such a thing existed! And "Cold Spell" sounds great, too!
ReplyDeleteThese Broken Stars is on my list as well. I am definitely looking forward to that one. I also am curious about the next Bridget Jones book, so I will keep my eye out for your review.
ReplyDeleteYour picks are so good! I am so excited for Man Made Boy and These Broken Stars and Premeditated and Allegiant and etc. I think it's safe to say, this fall will be exciting for everyone.
ReplyDeleteAllegiant and Across the Star-Swept Sea are both on my list as well. And I must say, though I don't typically read contemporary romance, I kind of want to read the Promise of Amazing just because the cover is - well - amazing!
ReplyDeleteLots of good books on this list! I've been hearing a lot of people anticipating These Broken Stars. I personally can't wait to read it. I feel like I wanted to read Ink is Thicker Than Blood as well, but I didn't add it to Goodreads. Sounds familiar.... Whatever, it's added now. Haha.
ReplyDeleteI totally meant to say Ink is Thicker Than Water. I have no idea why I said blood. Haha.
DeleteI didn't know there was a new Bridget Jones. I'l definitely be adding a lot of the books from your list to mine, although I need to get through what's on my shelves first!
ReplyDeleteHere's my TTT.
Sarah
I've only read one of these so far (Across a Star-Swept Sea), but it was really fun! I'll also be reading Tandem and These Broken Stars, so I hope they're wonderful for both our sakes.
