The Ravenous

Author: Amy Lukavics

Publisher: Harlequin Teen
Release Date: September 26, 2017

Goodreads:

From the outside, the Cane family looks like they have it all. A successful military father, a loving mother and five beautiful teenage daughters. But on the inside, life isn't quite so idyllic: the Cane sisters can barely stand each other, their father is always away, and their neglectful mother struggles with addiction and depression.

When their youngest and most beloved sister, Rose, dies in a tragic accident, Mona Cane and her sisters are devastated. And when she is brought back from the dead, they are relieved. But soon they discover that Rose must eat human flesh to survive, and when their mother abandons them, the sisters will find out just how far they'll go to keep their family together.

Why I'm Excited: The title and synopsis first caught my eye because I love this campy movie from awhile back with the same title (and premise, too, kind of). This sounds like it will have the same kind of campy humor. I'll definitely be keeping my eyes out for this one.

What are you waiting for on this Wednesday? Link me up!

  1. Eeek, lol. Not sure I'd be able to handle this one. I loved this author's first book, and I didn't get around to the second, but this one looks like it might just be a little too gorey for me. I know, I'm a weenie xD. I hope you enjoy it, Natalie!! :D

  2. OMG! Is she a zombie? Haha. This one sounds a bit too dark for me, although I did watch a few episodes of iZombie on CW and I really liked it. This cover is super ominous. It gives me the creeps. Great pick!

  3. Oh my goodness. That is the most simple yet bizarre cover I've seen in a while. This book sounds strange! I don't think I'd be able to handle it. *shudders* That cover! I can't get over it. I hope you enjoy this book when you get the chance to read it!

Have a fabulous week, Natalie. =)

    Check out my WoW post!

Hello, there! Thanks for taking the time to comment. I read each and every one and will do my best to respond--usually on your blog instead of on mine. I will, however, always answer direct questions. Due to serious time restraints, this blog is now an award free zone, but I appreciate the thought!
