Stacking the Shelves (10)

Saturday, June 15, 2013 2:16 PM with 22 comments

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Tyngas Reviews. This meme allows us to share the books we've recently added to our shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! *Clicking the link of a book's title will take you to Goodreads.

E-Book ARCs

Ink (Paper Gods, #1) Sisterland: A NovelWeather WitchThat's Not Funny, That's Sick: The National Lampoon and the Comedy Insurgents Who Captured the Mainstream: The National Lampoon and the Comedy Insurgents Who Captured the Mainstream
In the After fmlConfessions of an Almost-Girlfriend (Confessions, #2)

Ink by Amanda Sun
This is already getting some pretty dismal reviews, but I'm still going to give this Japanese set book about pictures that come to life a shot. (Isn't this cover better than the US version?)
Sisterland by Curtis Sittenfeld
Prep is one of my all-time favorites, so I'm exited to read this novel about twin sisters.
Weather Witch by Shannon Delany
I'm not exactly sure what this is about. Witches and steam-punk.
A history and insider story of National Lampoon.
In the After by Demitria Lunetta
The world is attacked, a girl has to run and then maybe save the world.
fml by Shaun David Hutchinson
The story of an "epic" party. It's premise reminds me of that movie Can't Hardly Wait.
I have the first one checked out from the library, but haven't read it yet. I seriously need to get on that.

What I snagged from the library

Amy and Roger's Epic DetourThe Darkest Minds (The Darkest Minds, #1)Just One Day (Just One Day, #1)The Book of Broken Hearts

Amy and Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson
I can't believe I haven't read this yet. It was featured on so many quintessential summer time lists.
The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken
I'm so excited for this one. Everyone raves about it.
Just One Day by Gayle Forman
About a whirl-wind romance. Again, raves.
I have the e-galley of this, but couldn't get into it. It sounds like it would be the perfect summer book, so I'm hoping having it in physical form and seeing that pretty cover will help.

Lots of good books this week. Surely one of these will be the one to get me out of this slump.

So what did you add to your shelves this week? Link me up!

 1. Oooo, so many great books this week! Hopefully you like Ink. I keep seeing all the not so great reviews, which makes me sad, cause I had such great hopes for that one.

 2. Oh, The Darkest Minds! I loved that one...and the sequel is up on NG!!! :) Amy & Roger and The Book of Broken Hearts were both cute. Great summer reads. I've actually been debating Just One Day for awhile...I keep adding it to my cart and then second-guessing myself and removing it. So, I can't wait to see what you think...I hope you can convince me to pick it up finally. :) Great haul! Hope you enjoy all your new reads!

 7. I think great library hauls are even better than great review hauls! I'm glad you found some quality books at your library. I'm intrigued by In the After, so I'll be interested in your opinion, whenever you get around to it :) Happy reading!

 14. So the only thing I've read on here is Amy & Roger's Epic Detour and I really liked it. It was one of those quick summery type reads. Confessions of an Almost Girlfriend looks good! Enjoy these :)

Hello, there! Thanks for taking the time to comment. I read each and every one and will do my best to respond--usually on your blog instead of on mine. I will, however, always answer direct questions. Due to serious time restraints, this blog is now an award free zone, but I appreciate the thought!
