That pretty much says it all. I meant to post something earlier, but I got caught up in the laziness of a day off. The hubby and I don't have family in the city we live in, and our schedules just didn't allow for any travel this year. I'll see my family over Christmas which will be here before we know it. I wanted to do this week's Top Ten Tuesday because I have a lot to be thankful for, but I just couldn't get it together in time. So I decided to post something today.
The things I'm thankful for. In no particular order.
1. My husband
My awesome, kind, handsome, funny, loving husband. Seriously, this guy is amazing. We've been together for 16 years (yes, really, and yes, we were young when we started dating), and I'm so thankful for him every day.
2. My family
This is a few years old, but I love this photo. My grandma passed away about a year ago at 100 years-old. We were all so happy that she made it to 100 and threw a huge party to celebrate. My sister has 3 lovely children that I love to visit, and my parents have been married for over 40 years. I could not ask for a better family.
3. My cat
This fat bastard. I've had this cat for 15 years. He has a cancerous tumor on his neck, but he's still doing ok for now. I love this animal more than most people (I mean not my family, of course...well sometimes, maybe).
4. My friends
I have some seriously great friends. My best friend and I have been friends for well over 20 years, since we were little girls, and she is the best person on the planet. We live thousands of miles from each other now, but whenever we are together it is like no time has passed. I'm so thankful for all of my blogger friends, too. You all rule!
5. Books, my Kindle, NG & EW.
I love spending my time with a good book or watching a movie or my favorite TV show. NG and EW are my crack. Is there anything better than getting approved for a book? Or getting white listed! I almost passed out from happiness when that happened.
6. Movies and TV
As much as I love to read, sometimes I just want to veg in front of the TV watching a movie or one of my favorite shows.
7. Music
There is nothing I like more than discovering a new favorite song or artist. I can't imagine a life without music.
8. My job, my house, and my car.
I'm so thankful to have a roof over my head and a car that gets me around. I'm thankful to have a job that helps pay for these things as well as helping me get through grad school.
9. The fact that I'll have my M.Ed in 2 weeks! 2 weeks!
10. MY LIFE
I'm so thankful for my health and the fact that I get to live this blessed life. So, so thankful!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful day wherever you are!
Happy Thanksgiving, Natalie. You have a beautiful family. :)
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks, Joy! Happy Thanksgiving!
DeleteThat's awesome that your grandma lived to be 100! You rarely see that anymore and she looked great in that picture. My youngest sister has been dating this boy since the beginning of 6th grade and I kind of get that feeling that they'll be one of those couples that are going to be middle school sweethearts. Of course, you never know, but still. I think couples that have been together since they were young is so special and I'm so happy for you :) Look at your cat! He looks so content in that picture haha. I have a very large and happy fat cat myself. They are the best! Yay for graduating in 2 weeks!! That's so exciting! Have you heard back about a job yet? And yes, I'm SO thankful for book, NG, EW, my tv, music, and my computer too. Where would we be without them? Hope you had a wonderful and relaxed day yesterday!
ReplyDeleteI know! It was awesome. I wasn't THAT young when we started dating. I'm in 30s. I love my cat so much. I'm going to be a mess when he goes, which I know is going to be sooner rather than later. He's the best pet ever. I haven't heard anything about a job yet. I need to get my certification and then I'll start looking. I need to stop being so lazy and start feeling out some of the paperwork I can do early, though. This semester has just burnt me out and I feel so lethargic whenever I have any time off. I was so optimistic about everything I would get done over break, and so far I've been completely worthless. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving, too!
DeleteI love the picture of your cat! Happy Belated Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteThanks, girl! Happy Thanksgiving to you!!
DeleteWhat a lovely post! I already knew you were awesome, but it looks like you have a pretty awesome life, too. :) I had an orange tabby like that (fat and all) that lived to almost the same age. Her name was Hairball (no explanation needed, I'm sure) and she died of kitty leukemia when I was still living at home. I hope your kitty continues to do okay!
